Conventional NDT

Conventional NDT uses methods below to evaluate the properties of material, components or structures without causing damage, and has served as a starting point in the industry for a long time.
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT) - The most popular and effective method in the industry, which evaluates wall thickness and wall loss along with detection of internal weld flaws. Level II & Level III Technicians equiped with ultrasonic flaw detectors by Olympus and Sonatest enable MAG-Pi to be the leading service provider in the CIS region with credible reputation and numereous satisfied customers.
  • Radiography Testing (RT) - Using Gamma or X-Ray detects damage, corrosion, wall thickness, and welding imperfections on field and piping welds, investment casting, and pressure vessels. MAG-Pi has all required licenses to import and operate Radiographic testing equipment in the CIS region.
  • Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) - Detects surface and near-surface cracks in ferrous materials. The simplest yet effective method, allowing for a quick surface inspection with low costs and high accuracy results. MAG-Pi uses German and UK consumables and equipment to maintain high quality standart.
  • Dye Penetrant Surface Techniques (PT) - Detects surface-breaking cracks and defects. Method proven to be a solid base for any inspection projects.
  • Eddy Current Testing (ECT) - Detects and characterizes surface and sub-surface flaws in conductive materials. Eliminates additional costs of removing insulation and paint, making EC one of the most attractive methods in NDT for a quick accurate inspection. Popular solution for hard to get areas when rope access is required.
  • Visual Testing (VT) - MAG-Pi's highly-experienced personnel meet your project requirements for close and general visual testing
  • Hardness Testing - Portable UCI, Brinell and Rockwell Hardness Testers allow our team to carry accurate and efficient tests in the field. Detailed reports of carried work is included in our service.
  • Ferrite Testing - Support from our long-term partner Fischer Instrumentation allows MAG-Pi to offer best possible service to our clients by ensuring our technicians always have newest models of Feritscopes with the most accurate standard blocks.
  • Vibro-Diagnostics - Vibration monitoring is the oldest type of machine monitoring technique and is the detection of the oscillation of a surface or structure up to a frequency of approximately 25 kHz. Vibration is detected and measured by using transducers to convert vibration energy into an electrical signal. The parameters measured are displacement, velocity and acceleration. Potentially all reciprocating and rotating machinery with moving parts can generate vibration and hence can benefit from vibration monitoring.
  • Dimensional Inspection - This inspection method is often a critical step in product development by assessing the geometric characteristics of machined parts and products to verify their compliance with design specifications.
  • Vacuum Box Testing - The method used to locate weld seam leaks becomes especially effective due to MAG-Pi's production of vacuum boxes designed and engineered in accordance with client requirements.
